Brady loves playing in the sand when he's not busy playing in the water. We had a bucket of toys that we brought with us and picked up an abandoned shovel a day after Alex accidentally broke our big shovel.
He also loved it anytime Andy would go down to the wet sand and dig a small hole. He just wanted to be in that hole that immediately filled with water, no matter how small it was.
My version of playing in the sand is to have my chair reclined, and having the ocean visible at all times ;)
